Connection Between My Current Indie Reading Book and Another Text

The book I am currently reading is Malcolm X:By Any Means Necessary and it connect to Curtis from the T.V. show GLEE. Both Curtis and Malcolm X weren't accepted for who they were. Curtis' dad couldn't accept that his son was gay and Malcolm X wasn't accepted by white people because he was African-American. When Malcolm X changed his religion to Sunni Islam, he started to think white people were good. Curtis' dad eventually accepted him for who he was.
